Over the past ten years, Twitter has been the second or third most popular social media platforms in Africa (depending on the year). No one can get close to Facebook's dominant control over the Africa market. That's enough for me to say that it is "an extremely popular" social media platform in Africa. Also, sharing a nine-year old article from the UN to make a point about a tech issue doesn't really cut it. Fix it up.
